Alyssa & Jake’s engagement session was just the pick-me-up this photographer needed. To be honest, I’ve really been missing my job. This time of year I am typically flooded with editing from summer weddings & my camera bag hasn’t been unpacked in months because I am always on the go for sessions. Sadly, because of the pandemic, things have been very slow for me. Weddings have been rescheduled & people aren’t aggressively booking sessions because #quarantine—no haircuts in months, can’t go shopping in person for clothes, etc. When I greeted Alyssa & Jake, though, my heart fluttered. We were gifted the most beautiful evening. There was joy in the air, & when I learned their fur baby was named “Posie” (Get it? ‘Pose’ for the camera? Yeah—bad photographer joke!), I about fell over—everything about this was meant to be. These two are absolutely darling together & our time together flew by in the best way. I cannot wait to share in their joy next August when they become husband & wife!
