I believe the way a groom dances with his mom says a lot about his character. It is always so sweet to watch the mother-son relationship come alive during their traditional dance. Will they laugh together as he twirls her around the dance floor, will mom cry the entire time, or will the son pick up his mom for a final spin before the song ends (I’ve seen that OFTEN!). Basically, if it makes me cry, it’s done well & with Joel & his mom, I had to turn to the bridesmaids a few times to hide my welling tears.
Joel & Marissa shared such a sweet day complete with a special appearance from their dog child! I had so much fun re-living all the tender moments as I prepared this blog post. If the only hiccup on their wedding day was the broken air conditioner on their party bus (boy, was it a hot one!), I’ll call that a successful day!
