I fell in love with photography the summer before my senior year in high school.
It was a muggy June morning & my mom & I were headed to Morton—it was my senior picture day! With an armful of clothing, hair brushes & makeup, we crossed the threshold from the midwest humidity to the cool air of the studio—boy, was I nervous! Much to my surprise, as soon as I met my photographer, I was immediately put at ease. She was not only kind & welcoming, but she made me feel so special. She took time to help me decide what to wear & encouraged me from behind her camera. As we shuffled through four outfit changes & multiple locations, I felt purely beautiful—a feeling unfamiliar to my 17-year-old self. As I left that session, I had one thing on my mind: THIS is what I want to do the rest of my life.

Senior photography has my heart. I love high school seniors—their mature, yet immature tenancies, their confident sense of self & their excitement as they stand at the end of one chapter of their lives looking toward the next. This is where I found my start as a photographer & it will remain the roots of what I do. For that reason, I am elated to share that the other main focus of Lauren Anderson Photography will be SENIORS!

You guys—I am so excited about this! I have been photographing seniors since the beginning of my business, & I believe it is time to take things to the next level. Lauren Anderson Seniors will continue to be the avenue through which I am able to love on my seniors in the same impactful way I was years ago, but over the next year, it will grow to be bigger & better than ever. With the details of what this will look like still in the works, I have two words for you to be watching for: Senior Experience!
